Shipai Campus

The first dining hall (Taoyuan)

The Taoyuan dining hall is located in the middle of the Shipai campus. With convenient location and abundant offering of food, the Taoyuan dining hall can meet teachers' and students' multi-various dietary needs and provide high quality food service.

Service items

（1）The first floor offers a variety of delicious snacks, fast food, cakes, chicken steak and other special regional food, fried rice, dessert, porridge, drinks, etc.. Night snacks are served with a choice of all kinds of fried food, spicy hot-pot, rice noodle rolls, etc.

（2）The South Hall on the second floor is equipped with air-conditioner. It provides convenient optional dishes, special fried noodles, etc.

The restaurant for banquet on the north side provides lunch and supper, etc. On holidays, it is a good place for teachers and students to enjoy dim sum and morning tea.

（3）As of 2010, a Muslim restaurant has been set up in the southwest corner of the Taoyuan dining hall to provide Xinjiang-style pasta, steamed bread, etc.

The second dining hall (Yongyuan)

The Yongyuan dining hall is located on the westside of the Shipai campus. With a unique location, elegant and quiet environment, it is a good place for teachers and students to have meals and to get together.

Service items 

（1）The first floor offers all kinds of foods at the most competitive price such as pastries, porridge, noodles and Cantonese fried rice.

（2）The second floor is equipped with central air-conditioning, providing a comfortable environment for students. This floor offers special dishes such as steamed rice, fried pasta, noodle soup, etc..

（3）The restaurant on the second floor is famous at SCNU. With elegant and clean environment and audio system, it is suitable for students to hold parties or have a chat with each other. In addition, the restaurant also provides various kinds of fried dishes and hot-pot.

The third dining hall (Qinyuan)

The Qinyuan dining hall is located on the eastside of the Shipai campus. This dining hall is spacious and comfortable. It has advanced equipment and comprehensive facilities. The second floor is equipped with air-conditioner, which provides a good environment for teachers and students to have a meal in summer days.

Service items

（1）In the basement there is a grocery store which sells fruit, vegetables, meat, drinks, cakes, etc. It also sells fresh fruit juice and syrup to meet the needs of teachers and students.

（2）The first canteen (on the first floor) serves breakfast, lunch and supper. Breakfast includes porridge, noodles, etc. At lunch and dinner time the canteen serves special coarse grain meals and semi-optional dishes.

（3）The staff canteen (on the second floor) is divided into three sections: the specialty food area, the buffet area, and the Green Cloud Island western restaurant. There are many kinds of snacks in the specialty food area, such as Guilin Jelly, stew, etc. There is plenty of choice in dishes in the self-selection area. 

（4）The Green Cloud Island western restaurant has an elegant environment and varied dishes. It offers various kinds of western food, coffee and drinks.

The gourmet court on the westside of the Shipai campus

The newly opened gourmet court is located on the first floor of West Six student dormitory. Covering about 400 square meters, it can seat about 130 diners. Business hours are from 7:00 - 21:30. It provides snacks, fresh juices and western-style cuisine. It is a good place for teachers and students to chat leisurely.

Services

（1）Snack court: it offers specialty snacks such as kimchi fried rice cakes and northern hand-made dumplings for lunch and supper.

（2）Food style: it offers coffee, western cuisine, etc. 

（3）Fastfood: it offers breakfast, lunch and supper. For breakfast, it offers pastries and noodles. For lunch and supper, it offers stew and various types of fastfood.

University Town Campus

The fourth dining hall (Nanyuan)

Located in the South District of the the University Town campus, the Nanyuan dining hall covers an area of 1.28 square kilometers and has four floors with different service items on each floor.

Service items

（1）The first floor is divided into two sections. The first part is a special flavor alley offering three meals per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with popular snacks, soups, desserts, etc.. The another section consists of a cake and beverage counter opened from 6:40-22:30, serving a variety of fresh cakes and beverages, custom-made birthday cakes, and a DIY birthday cake.  

（2）On the second floor there is a public dining hall, offering three meals a day with Cantonese cuisine and other dishes at a reasonable price. 

（3）On the fourth floor, there is a banquet restaurant and the Mingshi Food Street offering lunch and dinner service. The banquet restaurant caters all kinds of formal dinners. Mingshi Food Street serves a variety of dishes, such as steamed dishes, noodles, clay-pot rice, etc. 

The fifth dining hall (Hanyuan)

Located in the North District of the University Town campus, the Hanyuan dining hall covers an area of 1.2 square kilometers and has three floors with different service items on each floor.

Service items

（1）On the first floor there is a public dining hall, offering three meals and night snacks. The breakfast is rich in variety, including porridge, noodles, bread and snacks. For lunch and dinner Cantonese cuisine and other dishes are on offer. For night snack provides a variety of snacks, porridge, noodles, etc.. Moreover, there is a shop offering drinks and fine desserts.

（2）On the second floor there is a buffet area, offering lunch and dinner service with a wide selection of popular dishes, fine specialties, desserts and snacks.

（3）On the third floor there is a specialty restaurant offering local delicacies such as special set meals, Cantonese snacks and hot-pot. There is also a halal-style restaurant with a wide selection of halal packages, halal noodles, Lanzhou-style noodles and specialty snacks.

Nanhai Campus

The sixth dining hall (Xiyuan)

Connected to the commercial street, the Xiyuan dining hall has three floors which can meet the needs of more than 6,000 teachers and students. Currently, only the first and second floors are open.

（1）On the first floor there is a specialty restaurant offering three meals a day and night snacks with special set meals, porridge, noodles, desserts, etc. There is also a pastry shop offering a variety of pastries and drinks.

（2）On the second floor there is a public dining hall offering different dishes. There is also a "birthday room" which can be booked to celebrate a birthday.

（3）On the third floor, there are a small restaurant catering all kinds of banquets and other restaurants yet to be opened.

（4）In addition, the canteen provides a take-out service to make it easier for the teachers and students to have a meal.
