Youth League Committee (Communist Youth League Committee of South China Normal University)

The Communist Youth League Committee of South China Normal University is under the leadership of the Party Committee of the School and the Provincial League Committee. It comprises six departments, namely, the General Office, Organization Department, Publicity Department, Science and Technology Research Department, Practice Department, and the Literature and Art Department. It has set up the University Town Campus Group working committee, Nanhai Campus Group working committee and the post-graduate Group working committee, with the South China Normal University Youth League school, the Youth Cultural Center, the Youth Volunteer Action Guidance Center, and the Student Art Troupe directly under the Youth League Committee. Besides, 30 secondary organizations are also under its jurisdiction. So far a variety of brand projects have been organized such as the school culture and art festival, science and technology academic festival, "Challenge Cup", "Creating Youth" competition, student extracurricular research projects, youth studio, scholar afternoon tea, One hundred lectures on humanities and technology, summer social practice activities in rural places, College Student Volunteer Service in the West and the Selection of Youth Volunteers, etc..

Student Union (Student Union of South China Normal University)

The Student Union of South China Normal University is under the leadership of the Party Committee of the School and the provincial association, as well as the guidance of the Youth League Committee. There are eight departments, including the Secretariat, System Construction Department, Information Department, Public Relations Department, Academic Development Department, Literature and Art Department, Life Service Department, and the Rights Research Department. The student union has organized a variety of brand activities such as the chorus festival, selection of "my favorite teachers", Sunshine Sports, Equity Festivals, and science and technology academic festivals, etc..

Graduate Union (The Graduate Union of South China Normal University)

Established in 1983, the Graduate Union of South China Normal University is under the leadership of the Party Committee of the School, as well as the guidance of the Youth League Committee and the graduate student work department.

There are eight departments, including the Secretariat, Academic Department, Public Relations Department, Publicity and Planning Department, Rights and Service Department, Employment Practice Department, Literature and Sports Department, and the Liaison Development Department. The Graduate Student Association has organized a variety of activities, such as the Graduate Academic Festival “Xiangqin Forum”, Youth Leadership Training Camp, Academic Micro Salon, and the Graduate Singer Contest. 

Students' Association Union (Students' Association Union of South China Normal University)

The Students' Association Union of South China Normal University is a student organization under the leadership of the Party Committee of the School and the guidance of the Youth League Committee. There are five departments, including the Secretariat, Media Department, Community Development Department, Member Development Department, and the Social Practice Department. At present, there are 122 student associations; 43 at the Shipai campus, 53 at the University Town campus, and 26 at the Nanhai campus. They are divided into different types including social practice, entertainment, sports, academic technology, and hobbies. They have organized a variety of brand events, such as association culture festivals, community activity months, community style exhibitions, etc., which constitute an important part of SCNU campus culture.

School Youth Cultural Center

The Youth Culture Center of South China Normal University is directly affiliated to the Youth League Committee, which consists of five departments: the Brand Construction Department, Media Operation Department, Product Development Department, Xinhuo Broadcasting Station and the editorial department of "Teaching Youth". It is an important base for training young media talents and promoting the ideological work of the Youth League Committee.

School Youth Volunteer Action Guidance Center

The School Youth Volunteer Action Guidance Center is directly affiliated to the Youth League Committee, including the School Youth Volunteer Association, the School Red Cross Student Council, and the Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates. The School Youth Volunteers Association is a school-wide organization group consisting of young people who are willing to engage in social welfare and social security undertakings under the leadership and guidance of the Youth League Committee, as well as the guidance of the provincial and municipal youth volunteer associations. Activities such as the welfare and cultural festival and Lei Feng Month are organized on a regular basis.

The School Red Cross Student Council is a student organization that specializes in Red Cross charity activities at SCNU. The Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates is a national demonstration project for the Poverty Relief Relay Program of Young Volunteers jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Ministry of Education. Since 2013, SCNU has sent members of the Teaching Assistance Group of Graduates to Guizhou and Tibet to carry out educational activities.

School Art Troupe

The Student Art Troupe of South China Normal University is directly affiliated to the Youth League Committee. In recent years, the school art troupe has made remarkable achievements in various performances and competitions at the national, provincial and municipal levels. There are dance troupes, instrumental orchestras, hip-hop clubs, drama clubs, a singer team, street teams, and etiquette classes. Various artistic and literary resources from inside and outside SCNU have been integrated so as to create general education of arts. Three informal courses including Stage Art Practice (1), Stage Art Practice (2), and Stage Art Practice are currently available to students.
